Nicholas Kalyebara – Chairman
Nicholas serves as the Team Leader of the Leadership Development Program of Compassion international Uganda office. He has a great passion for leadership development and community transformation. Nicholas has previously served as an IFES staff worker with FOCUS Uganda.
Nicholas has a background in education having trained at Makerere University in Kampala Uganda. He has also pursued cross cultural studies at Wheaton College USA. He is married to Sylvia and together they have two children.
Mrs. Grace Aninge – Vice Chairman
Grace, who serves on the GLA Board of Directors as a Vice Chairman, is a born again Christian who has been married for 20 years with three children. She is Public Health Dental Officer, Health personnel trainer, Social Worker and Vocational Pedagogue by profession. Grace worked with Kiwoko, Kayunga, and Mulago hospitals. She then worked with Mulago Paramedical Schools for 15 years and she is currently the Principal of Gulu School of Clinical Officers. She is also a leader in various capacities in church and work circles. Her mission is to live to serve God and have him glorified through her life.
Christopher Yikii – Treasurer
Chris serves as the National Coordinator of Biblica Uganda an organization that seeks to promote biblical literacy through availing scripture. Chris has a great passion for the development of local and indigenous mission initiative and to this end, he devotes time and energy in training and capacity building for local churches and organizations.
He has a background in Business Administration and Marketing and he is married to Jane and they have three children.
Samuel Opolot – Secretary
Samuel is the Team Leader of Global Link Afrika. He has a background in Education. Samuel has a great passion for Faithful Bible Handling and Missions. He is therefore greatly involved in Bible Study and Bible Exposition Training through Living Word Uganda and Langham Preaching Uganda.
He has previously served in various capacities with the IFES Movement in Uganda (FOCUS) including as the acting General Secretary. He is married to Alice Opolot and they have two children.
Daisy Patience Yayi – Legal advisor
Daisy who has a legal background having trained as a lawyer at Uganda Christian University in Mukono Uganda and a postgraduate diploma in legal practice from the Law development centre in Uganda, is an advocate of the high court in Uganda. She is privately practicing law through her law firm M/s Bandaru & Co. Advocates which is based in Arua Uganda.
She is passionate about Christian integrity and Justice in the communities. She is married to Dr. Alfred Yayi and they have three Children.
Can. Isaac J Anguyo – Founder Chair & Advisor
Isaac is a founder member and Executive Director of Here is Life, an organization that seeks to enable each person to live a whole and integrated life for which he or she has been created. Their focus is to work through health services, radio, education, economic programmes and social services to share the love of Jesus Christ mainly but not limited to with the Aringa of Yumbe District who are about 80% Muslim.
Isaac has a background in education (Primary School Teacher and Teacher Trainer), he has served and is serving in several local, national and international boards. He has further studied and developed skills in Media and Communications with a specialization in Electronic Media. His desire is to touch the lives of his community with the love of God which gave rise to the development of the organization Here is Life which he now directs.
Recognizing his gifts and skills and contribution to the church, Isaac has been honored with the title of Canon by Ma’di West Nile Diocese. Isaac is married to Sally and they have two sons, two daughters and eleven grandchildren.
Dr. Richard Musoke Kagimu, MBchB, Msc GHS – Member
Richard is from Kampala Uganda. He graduated from Makerere University with a Bachelors in Medicine and surgery. While at the university he was a student leader and led fundraising community support programs among which raised funds for the Uganda Child Cancer Foundation. He received two awards for being an outstanding student in his years and for transformation work amongst students on the university campus.
Richard has worked with the private Health sector as a Medical Officer and he co-pioneered Agape Health care network – a growing chain of community health facilities across the country. He has organised and led over 10 medical and surgical medical outreach camps for underprivileged communities in Uganda. He is currently a Global Health Corps Fellow working with Uganda Initiative for Integrated Management of Non Communicable Diseases (UINCD) as an Informatics Officer. UINCD is a collaboration of Mulago Hospital, Makerere University, Ministry of Health, and Yale University.
Prior to this he completed his MSc. Global Health Systems at Institute for international health and development, Queen Margaret University, UK. He has majored in Health Systems, Human Resource for Health, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Project Design and Management. Richard is a committed Christian, a resident pastor with Rock Church Ministries, married to one wife and both have a wonderful pet dog named pretty. He loves travelling, cooking and swimming.
